I’m reading a book that my friend Barbara Pellegrino gave me called "Life Beyond Limits" by Rik Schnabel. It’s a great book and I’m grateful to Barbara for sharing this wisdom with me.

The book talks about what Schnabel calls "Infinity Belief," which expands our awareness of what’s possible for us to be, do or have in life. I particularly like how Schnabel continually uses the phrase "more is possible." I find this phrase incredibly empowering.

It’s easy to get hung up on "how much" we want to grow when we set out on a new journey. If we simply focus on "more is possible," then we can naturally expand our belief that we can achieve something greater than what we’ve done before.

Having set goals is wonderful. Having clearly defined goals is necessary to get what you want. But life is not merely about attaining one goal and then giving up, we need constant growth. In nature nothing stays static. Things in nature either grow or die. The same is true for us humans.

It’s also easy to get to attached to an outcome. Statements like:

I’m going to lose 22 pounds in 30 days

I’m going to make $10,000 in the next 6 weeks

I’m going to run a marathon in 90 days

These are clearly defined goals. And goals many people would be happy to achieve. But do we really care if these deadlines are met? After all, if it took 45 days to lose 22 pounds, and took 7 weeks to make $10,000 and 6 months to be able to run a marathon, wouldn’t the person be just as happy 5 years from now? It’s good to have goals within certain time frames, but it’s more important to stick to the goal NO MATTER WHEN it will happen.

Schnabel points out that we don’t have to get as concerned with the goal (at least at first) if we simply allow ourselves to believe that "more is possible." More what? More life, more physical fitness, more money, more love, more everything…

Thinking about "more is possible" allows us to tap into our imagination and expand what is possible for us. If we start thinking about more possibilities, suddenly more is possible for us!

Rik is going to be in Hawaii in August. I’m excited to go see him speak & would love to see you there if you’re going to be on Oahu on August 24th. Here’s Rik’s calendar to see if he’s coming near you. I’m still reading the book and look forward to some more great insights!

Aloha,

I’ve been studying the Law of Attraction for over a decade. My first introduction to the term came when I was introduced to a book called "The Science of Getting Rich." Since then, I’ve read many books on the topic and have spent a lot of time discussing it with people.

When I first learned how to successfully apply the Law of Attraction I used it to get a perfect 4.0 GPA, have success with women, and make money. After looking for the "magic formula" for nearly a decade, I realized that all the books were talking about the same process. A process that can be broken down into three basic steps.

The Three Steps to Attract Anything You Want

Ask for what you want.

Believe it’s coming to you.

Receive it when it shows up.

This is the simplified version of how to use the law of attraction. It’s easy to get caught up in the more advanced concepts that fill many books on the topic. It’s great to go deeper into the law of attraction to increase your understanding, but it’s also good to know the simple formula so you can get some practical use from it.

This manifesting formula is nothing new. In fact it’s even in the Bible when Jesus says "And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive." (Matthew 21:22)

This is a full proof method for attracting anything you want!

It works! Try it. Test It. Acknowledge when it works for you by being grateful to the Universe (or God, or whatever you want to call it).

The reason why people don’t get what they want is that they get blocked on one of the three steps. Here is where people get stuck:

Being unclear about what you want (not asking, or asking for the wrong things).

Not Believing that your request is being brought to you.

Not Receiving by failing to see that what you’ve asked for is knocking on the door and you fail to open it.

In future blog posts I will discuss practical solutions to solving the issues that can block us from implementing the manifesting formula I’ve outlined above. Please feel free to leave your questions and comments to this post as I’d love to get your input and experience with this formula.

Aloha,

I’ve got a simple tip for you that you can use to propel yourself to social media super success. I’ve applied it and it work spectacularly. I’ve watched many other big name bloggers use it successfully as well. It’s a simple concept that merely requires that you do it.

Make Friends with the people who comment on your stuff!

This includes your blog posts, facebook notes, youtube videos, tweets, hub pages, and any other social content that visibly allows you and other people to connect their thoughts to your stuff.

Why is this important?

Your credibility largely is determined by how many people comment on your stuff. This video about avoiding getting banned from facebook has gotten over 120 comments on facebook. The reason why I’m seen as an authority on facebook and social media is because I get tons of comments on my stuff (far above average).

When you publish a blog post or other piece of content and you immediately have 20-30 people thanking you and agreeing with you, it shows that you have influence.

How do you get this to happen?

Make friends with the people who comment on your stuff! If someone has taken the time to comment on your content, they are an excellent person to get to know. Chances are, they’ll comment on other things in the future. Getting to know them a little bit is extremely helpful to growing your social media presence.

My current average number of comments per post is 23. For everything that I’ve ever blogged, I’ve gotten an average of 23 comments. This is largely because I’ve interacted with the people who commented on my content.

So what does "making friends" mean? Interacting with & supporting the people who comment on your stuff is a way to form a solid relationship. Here are 5 ways you can do this easily:

If they have a blog, follow their blog by adding their RSS feed to your reader (watch the whole video). This will allow you to follow dozens of blogs easily. Comment on some of their posts regularly.

Follow your commentors on twitter. Retweet their tweets and engage in conversations with them by @ replying. Watch this mini twitter crash course if you’re new to twitter.

Create a friend list on facebook of all the people who comment on your facebook content. Then use the list to stay in touch with people who are likely to comment on your content. This builds a relationship. You can create a friend list by clicking "Friends" from your facebook account and the selecting "create new list."

Share links to your commentors content. Everyone who produces content is looking to have it shared with others. When you see a piece of content that one of your friends creates that you feel is good, link to it or tell your network about it.

Help them. Spend a few minutes writing an email that gives an explanation of how to solve a problem. spend 20 minutes on the phone walking someone through something. Create a screen capture video for someone to show them a solution to their problem.

If you can get an average of 30 comments on every piece of content that you create, you’ll have an extremely valuable asset that can be monetized for exceptional amounts of income. This network of commentors will also be accompanied by an invisible force of readers who simply pay close attention to you, but don’t comment.

Don’t let the simplicity of this strategy fool you. Try it for 30 days and you should see amazing results.

I knew that I would eventually do something really cool with this domain name. After all, my name is fairly easy to remember and it brands me personally.

Long before I began my career as an Internet Marketer, I’ve always been interested in personal development. I’ve spent tens of thousands of dollars on countless seminars, books, and home study courses (possibly even over $100,000).

For the past few years, I’ve been focused on creating the dream lifestyle for myself and to help others achieve it by providing an example to follow.

At many times in my life I’ve had almost everything at once. There were times where I was in perfect physical condition. Other times I’ve had money pouring into my bank account allowing me to lavishly spend and enjoy whatever I wanted in life regardless of price. On other occassions I’ve had great relationships and I’ve also been extremely happy and profoundly content as well. Of course I’ve had many of these things at the same time too.

For me, it’s been fairly easy to get whatever it is that I wanted to achieve. If I simply focused on what I wanted to create, I have found that within 30-90 days I would have it (I’ll be teaching you this process on this blog so that you can have anything what you want as well My challenge has been that during my pursuit of one thing, other goals of mine have elluded me.

Can We Really Have It ALL?

Some people believe it’s impossible to have everything we want in life. I believe that we can have whatever we want to create. If we only focus on a few things, we may miss out on a fuller, more complete, and more deeply satisfying existence.

For many years, I’ve wanted to live a life where I was Healthy, Wealthy & Happy. This symbolizes having it all. In the movie Jerry Maguire, Cuba Gooding’s character refers to this as "The Quan."

This blog is dedicated to allowing you to master the ability to have everything you want in life and to live The Quan for yourself. I’ve gotten extremely close to having The Quan in my own life, and this blog will chronicle my journey to Quan-ness as well as the readers of this blog.

Thank you in advance for making this website a complete smash-hit success!

Aloha,

Brian Campbell

P.S. This blog contains many blog posts and articles that I have written in the past. Although the blog is technically new, you can go back and see posts that I previously posted on other blogs, that I have now brought together on this blog in one location.

Its extremely embarrassing to be writing this blog post. I did something that I thought I’d never do.

I created a business without a written contract!!!

This caused me to permanently lose:

50% of a business that I spent almost 10 months creating (ManifestMastermind.com)

a monthly income of several thousand dollars.

A well established blog with 53 posts, 1,289 comments, 618 inbound links, alexa ranking of 164,316 (TheSocialMediaSource.com)

These were assets that I worked extremely hard to create, but allowed them to be registered in someone else’s name WITHOUT having a signed contract. I actually feel more embarrassed about writing this article than I do in losing the assets (but it certainly stings to have your babies taken from you against your will).

How did this happen?

Back in October, 2008 I had a discussion with a student of mine from my social media training (Social Media Marketing System). His name is Steve Pohlit. He already had a registered a domain name called ManifestMastermind.com. This was the type of project I had been wanting to be involved with for nearly 5 years since I sold my previous manifesting website.

Since he already had the domain name registered, we decided that we would form a business entity (LLC) and transfer the domain name and other assets to this company. We would setup a bank account where we would both have access. We were in complete agreement that each of us would be 50% owners of the company. I believed this would happen, so we got to work…

We spent the next 3 months creating what is now ManifestMastermind.com. We had a verbal agreement that Steve would manage employees & content distribution and I would handle creating the sales process and marketing strategy. I also contributed my massive network of contacts. At that time, Steve didn’t know how to grow his network at a rapid pace, this was something that I was happy to teach him as a business partner. This was a good deal because he had prior management experience and hadn’t previously been able to launch a thriving Internet business on his own. I needed someone to manage the growth of the business, so we were both happy (we should have written that down).

This business of ManifestMastermind.com was released to the public on January 7th, 2009. We instantly had an incoming producing asset that generated a few thousand dollars per month.

Over the next 3 months the business began to grow and I had access to the bank account and could watch sales flow in. At agreed upon times, we would both withdrawl our 50% profit share from the company. I took a short trip to Hawaii to manage a property that I own there. I was also on a spiritual quest (I’ll write more about my realizations later). I was inspired to move back to Hawaii permanently.

During this time, my business partner began giving me orders. He tried assigning work to me that should have been carried out by one of our employees. I even started managing some employees even though we had previously agreed that this would be handled by him.

I started to ask questions about when the assets would be transferred into our joint company. There were several legitimate sounding excuses, so I just assumed that he was busy and we would settle it soon. One delay after another caused the assets to remain in his name until July 2009 (the month this post is being written). I still believed that Steve would transfer the assets into an account that we both owned eventually. After all, we were operating a spiritually-based business. Who want to steal a company centered around helping people grow spiritually?

I Discovered A Scam…

Between March & June 2009 I was transitioning my life to Hawaii. Moving requires a lot of energy. I was spending less personal time with Steve and he wasn’t very happy about that. We were still working together on the basics of the business. He assumed more of a leadership role and under his leadership the business stagnated. He was spending a lot of time doing things that didn’t help the business.

It wasn’t growing when he started acting independently, so he was getting frustrated with me. I told him that I would soon be fully situated and we would take the business to the next level during the summer. Meanwhile we could enjoy the thousands of dollars of profit each month that we had built when I was running the business until March.

For 3 months I didn’t login to the membership site at ManifestMastermind.com. I checked in with Steve regularly and he told me that he was adding content. I was consulting with him and giving him business advice.

At the beginning of July, 2009 I logged into the private (PAID) membership site at ManifestMastermind.com.

I WAS SCHOCKED AND MORALLY APPAULED AT WHAT I SAW!!!

Over 57% of the content that members were paying for monthly was MISSING! Nothing had been added since I left for Hawaii in March! I was upset that something with my name on it was being used to mislead people! And the quality of what was there fell dramatically short of what we had agreed to.

The content was hard to follow, poorly edited, and wasn’t very helpful.

I struggled with what to do with this information. I confronted Steve Pohlit about this and wanted to work out a solution. There was an easy way to pay our featured members to create the missing content (and some bonus content for the members) and it all would have been ok.

When I presented this situation to Steve, I got a really offensive response. I was told that he was the "founder" of Manifest Mastermind and in total control of the content. He didn’t want to create anything new and it was perfect the way it was. He didn’t see a problem with having only 6 guidance processes when Manifest Mastermind had actually sold 14 (2 new guidance processes per month for 7 months). This would have only cost us about $1,000, but he didn’t want to spend the money to give the members what they paid for.

I was upset about this because I had created the entire sales sequence. I asked him to remove my salesletter & email copy from the sequence and replace it with his own. I was too far out of alignment with what Manifest Mastermind had become to allow my words to sell new memberships to it (he’s still using this content today against my wishes because he’s disabled my ability to remove it).

I was Locked Out

The day after I confronted him, I tried logging into our merchant account (in his name, it hadn’t been transferred to an account with both of our names yet). I was locked out. I couldn’t see how much money was in the account. He was keeping over $4,000 of my money (that account was used exclusively for our joint business and half of it was mine). He was also keeping ALL of the profits of Manifest Mastermind moving forward!

I was told that I could be an affiliate of Manifest Mastermind and earn 50% commission. THIS WAS MY COMPANY THAT I OWNED 50% OF!!! But I was foolish enough to allow it to remain in his name, so I didn’t have a leg to stand on when he decided that it was his all of a sudden.

I Decided to Leave

I looked within myself and fealt that it was best for me personally to walk away from the project. I told him that I was leaving. Since he refused to make up for the lack of content, I sent an email to the paying members of Manifest Mastermind telling them what had happened, and why I was leaving. I left out the part that he was STEALING 50% of the business from me. At that point I didn’t care, it was in my best interest to be done with someone who is selfish enough to steal a business from his friend and mentor…

He also owned a domain that had a blog that I created. Actually, he registered this for me back in February when I did the first Social Media Mania. He was supposed to register this in my account, but he registered it in his name. When I decided to leave Manifest Mastermind, he decided to keep that domain as well.

Hacking Into My Own Accounts?

Having recently been screwed out of a business with an ongoing monthly cashflow, I decided to preserve some of what I had built. There were some accounts that both of us had built together. Many of these accounts were accounts that I created from scratch and had grown with my own efforts. I was already losing the cashflow and the most valuable assets (domain names and autoresponder lists). I wanted to preserve the stuff that I had built.

I went to the spreadsheet that we both used to manage the passwords of all the accounts. After finding out that I was locked out of many of my own accounts, I got lucky and logged into a few joint accounts and was able to change the passwords so that he would be locked out.

Of course, he was upset about this and decided to blame me for many things that were completely untrue. He claimed that I deleted 350,000 personal emails (I doubt it’s possible to get that many emails, unless you get tons of spam that you want to keep). He’s also blamed me for problems he had with facebook and some other issues. He even claimed that he reported me to the FBI for hacking into his computer (I think this is kind of funny and totally unbelievable ). I don’t know the first thing about hacking into someone’s private computer, nor do I want to…

After nearly 10 months of telling everyone that we were business partners and co-founders of Manifest Mastermind, he’s deciding to claim that he was the 100% Founder and that I was never his partner. You can still see stuff that he posted all over the Internet with my name and his as the co-founders. If you’ve been involved with Manifest Mastermind for longer than 30 days, you know how ridiculous that is!

It seems convenient to me that I would be blamed for all kinds of nasty stuff the day after I sent an email to the members about how they should reevalute their membership.

Intially, I didn’t want to respond to a bunch of false allegations. I don’t know what type of problems he’s had since I left Manifest Mastermind. His problems are no longer my problems. To me it seems like convenient timing to rationalize me as the source of all of his problems. I’ve received many personal emails from people who said they felt that Manifest Mastermind was not worth the money that was being charged and they have now cancelled their membership. Perhaps this was a revenge attempt to get back at me for costing him some of his stolen profits. Truthfully, I’m glad that this has cost him something. I don’t believe the Universe will allow him to keep his illgotten gains.

The Lesson

It’s been part of my personal mission to deliver the greatest good to the greatest number of people for several years. This was even adopted as part of Manifest Mastermind from my personal mission statement. Although this is highly embarrassing for me to share with you, I am doing so because I believe it conveys an important lesson:

Don’t do any business deals without having a written agreement on paper!

Although it may be tempting to trust someone, things can change. It’s best to be clear about what the roles and responsibilities of the parties involved are. This prevents confusion and helps everyone to be concrete about what the deal is. If it’s on paper, nobody can change it because they spontaneously want it to be a different deal.

If I would have followed this rule it would have saved me several thousand dollars per month AND would have prevented me from being caught in the middle of this ridiculous high-school drama. Don’t make the same mistake that I did. I won’t make it ever again!

What’s Next?

Manifest Mastermind was supposed to be a spiritually centered website to help you manifest your dreams and desires. I don’t believe that the current content there is helping anyone achieve that goal. Back in January when I invited my friends, subscribers and social network contacts to join Manifest Mastermind I promised to help you with these things. Although Manifest Mastermind fell short of that goal, I will be sharing the content that never made it to Manifest Mastermind with you here on my personal blog (http://briancampbell.com). I apologize for allowing this drama to reach you, but hopefully you will learn from this lesson so you don’t repeat my painfully public mistake

#AffirMonday allows you to create and support positive intentions for personal transformation by harnessing the power of twitter in a fashion similar to #followfriday

Wouldn’t it be cool if your personal goals became viral & you had massive amounts of people supporting your intentions?

Today is the start of #AffirMonday on Twitter. AffirMonday will help you spread massive goodwill, increase your twitter following and attract more abundance into your life by supporting other people getting what they want.

The definite path to getting what you want in life is to get clear about what you would like to experience. #AffirMonday will help you get clear about what you want in life, and allow you to participate in the giving and receiving energy of helping others. And you also get to use twitter to publicly assert your intentions!

The process is simple:

Tweet a positive present-tense statement about an experience you desire (i.e I am attaining my ideal weight of 185 pounds -OR- I am experiencing profound peace, joy & happiness -OR- I am financially free to do that which I choose , etc…)

Include the hashtag #AffirMonday within the tweet

Enter #AffirMonday when you search twitter.

Retweet other people’s affirmation tweets to pay it forward. The more you retweet other’s tweets, the energy will go into manifesting your tweet into reality.

You can also follow people who publish #AffirMonday tweets. This will remind you to participate in asking the Universe for

Here are a few sample #AffirMonday tweets:

I am healthy, wealthy & happy #AffirMonday

I have $100,000 in the bank #AffirMonday

I am in a satisfying and healthy romantic relationship #AffirMonday

I am full of energy & vitality #AffirMonday

I have a beachfront house in Hawaii #AffirMonday

I have a thriving online business #AffirMonday

I have an email list of 1,000,000 targeted subscribers #AffirMonday

[INSERT ANYTHING YOU DESIRE] #AffirMonday

Affirmations can be very powerful (click here to read a great article “The Power of Affirmations“). When we define a goal clearly, it’s one step closer to becoming reality. When other people see your statement (in this case tweet), it creates a positive expectation in the collective consciousness that brings about the intended result faster.

If you’re skeptical about the potential power of #AffirMonday, I completely understand. You may think it’s totally crazy that participating in it could bring about massive change in your life. You could choose not to do it, or you could just have fun with it. At a minimum you’ll get more followers from it. Or you just might start getting clearer about your goals and see a few miraculous things happen in your life!

Try it and leave me a comment when your #AffirMonday tweets start to come true!

#Affirmonday was inspired by the popular twitter event #FollowFriday. You can read more about the history of the viral trend of followfriday here.

Getting started using twitter with a mini crash course, tweetlater pro, and the twitter auto follow directory.

Ok, so the headline probably ruffled a few feathers. Many people right now consider twitter to be the #1 MOST important social networking website. If you’ve invested all your time in twitter, then it is the most important site for you.

The awesome good news is that we can always have our favorites, but we can use more than one social networking site. Get it out of your head permanently that a certain social network is better than another. You should love all of them

How Does Twitter Work?

You get a bunch of people to follow you

You tweet a lot

30-65% of your tweets have links in them

Every tweet with a link is a little lottery ticket to get traffic to your website

By itself, twitter doesn’t make you any money. You make money by driving people to a website. It’s pretty simple.

My entire purpose for using any social networking website is to make money. Of course all the really cool people I keep meeting is a bonus, but if I weren’t making millions of dollars using social networking, it wouldn’t be interesting to me at all.

Here’s 4 Steps to Build An Insanely Following on Twitter:

Watch the Twitter Mini Crash Course, learn how to use twitter more effectively in about 11 minutes.

Tweet A lot – your twitter following grows by tweeting

Get Tweetlater Pro (it’s worth every penny if you want to make millions using twitter alone. If you’re happy with mediocre results, go ahead and skip this resource). By using this automated resource, you’ll save so much time and never miss an opportunity.

Grab some new followers automatically by listing in the “Twitter Auto-Follow Directory,” this is a free resource provided by The Social Media Source Blog – the one you’re reading now

With all of this amazing social media knowlege, you should be able to drive a massive crowd of super hungry niche maniacs craving your products so badly they beg you to sell them some more stuff!

The Second Commandment of Marketing Online

using google analytics to improve your website conversions by split testing and using adwords analytics data

There are only a few things that you absolutely must do to succeed online. The first commandment of marketing online is to use an autoresponder. The second commandment used to be optional, but since the Internet is now a living, breathing entitity, it’s absolutely essential that you follow it.

Here is the Second Commandment of Marketing Online:

You absolutely must track, split test and monitor everything you do to drive traffic to your website in order to discover what’s working, what’s working better, and what’s not working.

The good news is that it is free to implement the second commandment of marketing online. Google Analytics is free if you get an adwords account. You don’t even need to spend any money on adwords to use this powerful software.

Spend some time on the website for google analytics and watch the video tutorials. There is a learning curve, but it’s worth the 1-3 hours it’ll take you to figure it out. The video tutorials show you how to do a split test & why you should.

11 Months ago, I wrote two posts on my Internet Marketing University Blog called “Understanding What a Visitor Is Worth,” and “Improve Conversions by Split Testing.” These articles go into detail about why you need to have google analytics installed on your website.

If you want to succeed online you have to split test every page of your website that requires someone to take action. At a minimum you need to split test your sales letters & opt-in pages constantly to come up with the optimal conversion rates.

Many of you reading this right now are thinking “I know I should be split testing, but I can still do ok without it.”

Don’t fool yourself. Making money online boils down to who can convert the traffic for the highest price. Marketers who know what they’re doing are running tests and there is no way for you to compete against people who know what the conversion rates of a page are.

I haven’t explained split testing in this post, that’s why I wrote those two posts linked to from above last year. I highly recommend you read those two posts and immediately implement what they recommend on your websites.

This is so important, I’m making it a commandment.

There’s only a few more commandments that I have for you. If you break any of these commandments, don’t ever ask me why you’re not making any money online!

Aloha,

Brian Campbell

P.S. If you follow these commandments, you’re going to do much better than many other marketers. I’m making these commandments because I want to see you succeed. 99% of people aren’t taking these things seriously, perhaps that’s why 99% of people fail at this business! I want you to succeeed – so take the few extra hours to set up & learn how to use these crucial tools so you can have a fair chance at success.
