After you’ve set up your social cockpit & created your basic keyword list, you should have a blog as your hub. This will be the central location you drive people to with all of your social networking activities.
Your Blog Hub is your own asset. Most social media site’s policies prohibit you from using them in a way that will make you money. You’re going to be out there canvasing social media to meet people and you want to direct them to your home base or hub, which is your blog.
Here’s a Blog post which shows you how to set up a blog for very low cost or even free:
“How to Have a Google Friend Connected Blog Within 24 Hours”
If you want one completely set up for you, we can set it up for you:
“Fast Start To Your Own Blog With Google Friend Connect and More…”
Either way, you will want to get your blog set up before moving forward with your social media activities.
If you already have social media accounts, don’t worry – you haven’t wasted your time. These accounts will benefit you. But if you’re looking for where to start, it’s important to get your own blog before moving forward as it will be the nucleus of your social media efforts.
Although I show you how to get a free wordpress blog set up above, I do want to provide one warning. You will soon be placing links to your new blog in various locations. Although the blog can be moved, the links to the free blog will not point at the domain name you eventually move to. It’s best to start with your own hosted blog, with your own domain name. Domain names are cheap here, and you can get cheap cpanel hosting for under $5 a month. Considering how cheap this is, it would be crazy not to get your own domain name if you are serious about building a business through social media.

Good Stuff Brian. I agree a blog is the central hub.
