Thank you for finding and posting this announcement. Google certainly has an integrated marketing tools strategy that aligns the user with Google.

I noticed today during a search that Adword advertisers had a prominent display by Google show the keywords being used. Quite a tool

I’m not recommending blogger, you should definitely use wordpress. But there are millions of blogger accounts, and with google friend connect integration, that’s fantastic for anyone who understands google friend connect.

But there IS a reason to use Blogger (not as your main blog, however – putting WordPress on your own server is still the best):

Blogger gets tons of hits and is owned by Google. Having a blogger account and pointing to your WP sites adds high-performing links coming into your site. Same is true about having a WordPress.com blog.

All the pieces are coming together. These two sources are just as strong as Hubpages, Squidoo, and others for helping to get you ranked.

And now with Google Friend Connect, it’s even stronger.

Food for thought.

Good stuff man, I’ll definitely have to be watching this site more often, I watched what you did with Facebook so I know you got the goods.

Thing is, I don’t fully understand friend connect just yet, I just added it to my site but, how to use it best and all the options I’m still learning.

Actually Brian, this was reported by Chris Lang in September back in 2008.

google friend connect is pretty cool.

if you are a blogger and you had no idea how to use rss, it makes it easy for you, and also uses google reader.

Wow, I am eating up your tips – one by one! I tried to submit my link though and I couldn’t seem to get to a submit page. I didn’t see any option for the premium service (probably related to the submit page not working?) My best guess is that this is already huge and feeling some growing pains!

Again, thanks for all your sound advice. Being new to marketing I can use all the help I can get – and FREE advice is GREAT!
