Dainaz,
Thank you. Yes, that account was built in realty in only about 2 days. It is easy to build a twitter following. I like this one and believe I will get it back.

Tonight was of the most fun and meaningful I have had with Twitter. I realize it was probably just a computer error that the @socialmania account was suspended so I do not hold this against Twitter. I encourage you to please fix this as soon as possible and re-instate @Socialmedia so we can continue Tweeting on all night building the repuation of Social Media & Twitter.

Respectfully,
Greig Wells

Hi there, Greig Wells!

This is an automated response to share reasons why Twitter suspends accounts for investigation; we’re currently reviewing your request. If you’ve already sent in the information requested at bottom, there is no need to send it again.

Twitter suspends accounts for Terms of Service violations or spam investigation. (Please visit your own profile page to make sure you’re actually suspended and not viewing someone else’s suspended profile page.) If you are suspended, it’s most likely for one or more of these reasons::

User Abuse
* a large number of people block the profile or write in with spam complaints
* aggressive following
* imbalanced ratio: the number of followers is small compared to number of people following
* misuse of the reply feature
* updates consist of duplicate links and/or text
* updates consist mainly of links and not personal updates
* updates consist of updates poached from others’ timelines, passed off as one’s own

Technical Abuse
* updates consist of links pointing to phishing sites, malware, or other harmful material
* a large number of accounts is created in a short amount of time
* an account is identified as belonging to a spam cluster

When this happens, we suspend the account for investigation and hide the contents from the public view in order to remove the cause of complaint.

It’s important to us that the Twitter community receives only the content they’d like to receive. While we do welcome feed-based accounts, we discourage aggressive following and other tactics that will alarm people.

If you feel you’ve been suspended in error, please reply to this email with a short explanation if you haven’t already, and don’t forget to include your user name.

Thanks,

Twitter Support

RE: Twitter account for @socialmania

Please reinstate Brian Campbell’s Twitter account, @socialmedia.

Brian’s passion is connecting people to communities in which they can create an online presence that creates exponential value. At the core of his training is an understanding of the ethical and responsible use of Twitter as a conversational tool.

He wasn’t selling anything. In fact, he was teaching a free informal class, which is within the guidelines and spirit of the Twitter mission. Within the scope of that class, he replied to questions;through the process, he helped hundreds of people become better twitizens (twitter citizens) by building their functional understanding of how Twitter worked.

Please reinstate his account.

Thank you,

Kim Fleming

It seems that my twitter account has been suspended as well @JoselitoL

I’ve already submitted an email to suspended@twitter.com.

I’ll check back here tomorrow to see if there’s any update.

People interacting for the purpose of learning. Twitter’s purpose is for people to announce what they are doing. Brian has been leading by examples on how to use Social Media and all following are Twitting what they are doing.

Seems really strange that others are suspended as well. All happened after their maintenance.

Well, it’s obvious that everyone’s behaviour on Twitter was “unnatural” – and whether through robot or collusion, the same group of people all saying the exact same tweets again and again is perceived as spam. Had I known your game plan earlier, Brian, I could have advised a way to get the job done but without triggering their spam-dar.

To: support@twitter.com
am Date: Thursday, February 19, 2009,

I am a veracious student of social media marketing and am learning so much from social mania. I heard through my network that the account was suspended at Twitter.. Please reinstate the account as this Twitter account is adding so much value to marketers across the globe… it would be a real diservice to so many twitter account holders not to reinstate. I am sure that this probably was a nonhuman oversight.

Sincerely,

Tina Schraier
